Support
If you have any questions, feedback, or need help with Arcaria, we're here to assist you.
About the App
Arcaria is a private home for your bank and brokerage paperwork. You import your PDF statements, and Arcaria keeps them organized, searchable, and encrypted on your own computer. There is no account, no cloud, and no tracking — everything stays in a single encrypted vault on your machine.
Getting Started
How do I add documents?
Import your PDF statements into Arcaria. As each PDF comes in, Arcaria reads it and fills in the date, amount, currency, bank, account or custody account, ISIN, and document type. Buy and sell notes, dividend credits, tax documents, and account statements are all sorted into place.
What if a statement isn't recognized automatically?
Many statements from banks and brokers across Europe and beyond (with the deepest coverage in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) are detected automatically. When one isn't, you complete the missing details — date, amount, ISIN, document type, and so on — in a few clicks. Everything stays editable, so you can correct or refine any field at any time.
How do I organize my documents?
Browse by year and month, by bank and account, or by ISIN and document type. You can tag documents, add your own notes, and give each bank its own name and color so your whole archive reads at a glance.
Common Questions
Where are my documents stored?
In a single encrypted vault on your own computer. Arcaria has no server and no cloud storage, and it works fully offline. Your documents never leave your machine unless you choose to back them up or export them.
Does Arcaria connect to my bank?
No. Arcaria never connects to your bank, your broker, or any online account. It works only with the PDF files you import yourself.
How do I search my archive?
Use full-text search to look across every document and every note you've added — so you can find a statement by what it says, not just its file name. You can also sort and filter by year and month, bank and account, ISIN, or document type.
How do I back up or move my vault?
Use Backup to save your entire vault as a single encrypted file. You can keep that file as a copy or move it to another computer and restore it in one step. Because backups are encrypted, your archive travels safely.
Troubleshooting
A PDF was imported but the details are wrong or missing:
- Open the document and edit any field — date, amount, currency, bank, account, ISIN, or document type.
- Statements from less common banks may not be recognized automatically; filling in the details takes only a few clicks.
- You can also add tags and notes so the document is easy to find later.
A backup or restore asks for a password:
Backups are encrypted. Enter the same password that was set when the backup was created — without it, the vault cannot be decrypted, and there is no recovery. Keep the password safe.
App crashes or freezes:
Please report issues to our support email with details about what you were doing when the problem occurred. Include your operating system and version.
