Parqet Portfolio Alerts: Get Notified When Your Portfolio Moves More Than 2 % in a Day

Markets have a big day, your portfolio drops 3 % by lunchtime — and you find out in the evening, because you happened to open an app. The alternative is worse: checking your portfolio twenty times a day just in case. What most long-term investors actually want is simpler: leave me alone on normal days, tell me when something unusual happens.

PulseFolio 2026.9.19 adds exactly that for your Parqet portfolio: move alerts. Pick a threshold, and your iPhone — and your Apple Watch — tells you when the portfolio moves more than that in a trading day. The update also keeps your widgets fresh in the background, puts Anonymous Mode into Control Center, and brings PulseFolio to Danish and Polish.

Move alerts: a notification when your portfolio moves 1, 2, 3 or 5 %

In PulseFolio’s Settings → Alerts, turn on Move Alerts and choose an Alert Threshold: 1, 2, 3 or 5 % (the default is 2 %). The first time, iOS asks for permission to send notifications; if you have turned them off, the screen offers a shortcut to the notification settings.

From then on, a few rules keep the alerts useful rather than noisy:

• Up or down. A 2 % threshold fires on +2 % and on −2 % alike. Big up days are worth knowing about too.
• Today’s return, not today’s cash flows. The comparison uses the day’s time-weighted return (TTWROR) — not the raw change in value, so a deposit or withdrawal doesn’t set off an alert.
• Once per trading day and portfolio. Once an alert has gone out, a portfolio that keeps hovering around the threshold stays quiet until the next trading day.
• Only the live session. You won’t get a Saturday alert about Friday’s move.
• The portfolio you’re watching. Alerts follow the portfolio selected in the iPhone app — a single portfolio, a combination of several (or all of them), or a single sub-account. The notification carries its name, including the short custom name if you gave it one.
• On your wrist, once. The iPhone sends the alert and iOS mirrors it to your Apple Watch, so you feel the tap without getting every alert twice.

Notifications show up on the Lock Screen, so privacy matters: the percentage is always included, but the money amount only appears while Anonymous Mode is off.

One honest caveat: iOS decides how often an app may check in the background, so an alert can arrive late — sometimes well after the move itself. Move alerts are a nudge to take a look, not a real-time trading signal.

Widgets that no longer freeze

If you mainly look at PulseFolio through its Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, you may have seen them stop updating after a while — stuck on an old value until you opened the app. That’s fixed: PulseFolio now refreshes in the background on its own, so the widgets keep up even if you never open the app. As with alerts, iOS decides exactly when those background refreshes run.

Anonymous Mode, one tap away

Anonymous Mode replaces every amount with ••• on your iPhone, Apple Watch and complications, while percentages, charts and trend arrows stay visible — handy on the train or in a meeting (more on keeping your balance private). On iOS 18 and later you no longer have to open the app to switch it: add the Anonymous Mode control to Control Center or the Lock Screen, or put it on the Action button, and flip it with a single press.

PulseFolio now speaks Danish and Polish — and the language you choose

PulseFolio is now fully translated into Danish and Polish — the iPhone app, the Apple Watch app, complications, widgets and Shortcuts. That makes eight languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, and Polish.

New as well: PulseFolio no longer has to use your iPhone’s language. Settings → Language in PulseFolio opens its page in the iOS Settings app, where you can pick any of the eight; the Apple Watch app follows along. If the Language option doesn’t appear there, add any second language under General → Language & Region first — iOS only offers per-app languages once you have more than one. (On some iOS versions, widgets can stay in the iPhone’s language — a limitation on Apple’s side.)

A bigger widget for iOS 27

On iOS 27 the portfolio widget gains an extra-large size: a big return percentage at the top, value and gain, a large chart, and a grid of extra stats — the other return metric, the 7-day move, the period’s range, and when the data was last updated.

Apple Watch: Digital Crown and a tidier dashboard

On the watch, you now move between periods with the Digital Crown. The dashboard was reworked so each period fits on one screen, even on smaller watches, and the Stats view no longer breaks numbers across two lines. PulseFolio is updated for watchOS 27, including the background refresh that keeps your complications current.

Also in this update

• Insurance and P2P lending holdings now show their asset type in the Holdings list.
• Clearer English texts: a few places showed internal names instead of words, such as the title of the connection error banner and several labels in the Markets tab. They now read properly.
• Ready for iOS 27 and watchOS 27.

How to set up move alerts

1. Update to PulseFolio 2026.9.19 from the App Store.
2. On the iPhone, select the portfolio you want to watch.
3. Open Settings → Alerts, turn on Move Alerts and allow notifications.
4. Pick your threshold: 1 % if you want to hear about most notable days, 5 % if you only care about the rare big ones.
