About the App
PulseFolio brings your Parqet portfolio to your Apple Watch as a watch face complication. It shows portfolio value, gain/loss, and return percentage — refreshed automatically during market hours. A companion iOS app is used for setup and configuration.
Getting Started
How do I connect my Parqet account?
Open the PulseFolio iOS app on your iPhone and tap "Connect Parqet". You'll be sent to the secure Parqet login page, where you sign in with your Parqet credentials. After authorizing PulseFolio, you'll be returned to the app. PulseFolio never sees your password — it uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE.
How do I add the complication to my watch face?
On your Apple Watch, touch and hold the watch face, tap "Edit", swipe to the complications screen, and select a slot. Choose PulseFolio from the list of available complications. PulseFolio supports corner, circular, rectangular, and inline complication styles.
How do I switch between TTWROR and IZF/XIRR?
Open the PulseFolio iOS app, go to Settings, and choose your preferred return metric. The change syncs to your Apple Watch within a few seconds via WatchConnectivity.
How do I change the time period?
In the iOS app, tap the time period selector and pick from 1D, 1W, MTD, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y, YTD, 3Y, 5Y, 10Y, or Max. The selection syncs to the Watch automatically.
Common Questions
How often does the complication update?
During market hours, PulseFolio refreshes every 15 minutes via background refresh. Outside market hours, refreshes are paced to save battery. You can also open the Watch app and pull-to-refresh at any time.
Is my Parqet data safe?
Yes. PulseFolio connects directly to the Parqet API via OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. Your password stays with Parqet; PulseFolio only holds access and refresh tokens, and those live in the iCloud Keychain on your own devices.
Troubleshooting
The complication shows "Sign in required" or old data:
- Open the PulseFolio iOS app and make sure you're still signed in to Parqet.
- If the session has expired, tap "Reconnect" to start a new OAuth flow.
- Force a refresh inside the Watch app by pull-to-refresh.
The Watch doesn't reflect changes made on the iPhone:
- Make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are both online and paired.
- Open the PulseFolio Watch app once so WatchConnectivity can deliver the latest settings.
- If the issue persists, remove the complication and re-add it.
OAuth login fails or loops:
- Check that you're using the correct Parqet account credentials.
- Make sure your iPhone is connected to the internet.
- Try signing out of Parqet in Safari, then retry the OAuth flow inside PulseFolio.
App crashes or freezes:
Please report issues with details about when the problem occurred (setup, complication refresh, metric switch, etc.).
