Data Processing in the WebCacheWarmer App

WebCacheWarmer is a website cache warming and performance analysis tool. The app sends HTTP requests to websites you specify in order to warm their cache and measure response times. All crawling and analysis is performed locally on your device. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to third-party servers.

  • Purpose: Cache warming, performance measurement, and website analysis on the user's device.
  • Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation).

Network Requests

WebCacheWarmer makes HTTP requests to websites you choose to crawl. These requests are sent directly from your Mac to the target website. The app does not route traffic through any intermediary or third-party servers. The only data transmitted is standard HTTP request data (URL, user agent, headers) sent directly to the websites you specify.

Local Data Processing

All crawl results, statistics, cache header analysis, and downloaded static sites are stored locally on your device. WebCacheWarmer does not upload your crawl data, results, or any other information to external servers.

No User Accounts or Tracking

WebCacheWarmer does not require user registration, does not create user accounts, and does not track your usage behavior. We do not collect analytics data about how you use the app.

Diagnostics, Crash Reports, and Logs

If the app generates crash reports or diagnostic data, these are used exclusively for error analysis.

Current Status: No third-party analytics. Should this change, this policy will be updated and providers will be named.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and data portability in accordance with legal requirements. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of your residence, workplace, or the place of alleged infringement.

Children

The app is not specifically directed at children. No special categories of personal data according to Art. 9 GDPR are processed.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We will update this privacy policy if processing or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at this URL.
